The festival is one of the most important cultural events for the people of Vitoria and a reference point for many Spanish cities. For four decades the festival has offered a wide range of national and international theatre, covering all genres, from classical theatre to the most avant-garde.
The festival of theatre stands firmly as the core tool driving the performing arts in Vitoria-Gasteiz and Álava. During its four decades of existence the festival has opened its doors to thousands of people from several generations, who now constitute a faithful, demanding and understanding public that fill the theatres of the city.
Among this 43rd edition extensive offerings it could be enjoyed a total amount of 32 performances both national and international, with some of them coming from France, Portugal, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, United States… and don´t forget the 10 Basque proposals.
